- ‘L’ brackets (one for single gate, two for double gate)

WARNING: DO keep your hands away from the pinch points. DO NOT stand the gate in its wheel without it being properly attached to the mounting surface.
How to Install Folding Security Gates
Before installing a folding security gate, decide whether to mount it in the doorway or in the outside wall. Keep in mind that optional door mount extension brackets may be necessary, depending on the layout and configuration of a particular space.
- Mark the center of the hole in the floor two inches away from the wall.
- Drill a 5/8” deep hole into the floor to accommodate the bottom mounting pin. Insert the pin through the washer and into the floor.
- With the gate inserted into the drilled hole, extend the gate. Install the ‘L’ bracket. The type of material being used will determine the actual installation and size of lag bolts:
- Wood – Uses 5/16” (8mm) X 2” (51 mm) lag bolts
- Steel – Drill and tap for 5/16” (8mm) X 2” (51mm) lag bolts
- Brick or Concrete – 5/16” (8mm) X 3” (76mm) lag bolts in 3/8” (10mm) holes with wood or lead anchors
- If you are installing a single gate, it is now time to install the included locking bar. Follow the same mounting parameters as mentioned in Step 3.
- If you are installing a double gate, repeat Steps 1 through 3 with the additional gate.
- Double gates only: Stretch both gates to the center of the door opening and drill a 5/8” (16mm) hole for the center locking pin. For added security, an optional padlock is available.
